As you age, excess skin begins forming around your eye and loses its elasticity. Fatty tissue can also accumulate under the skin. Your eyes may start to look “older” or more tired because the natural aging process leaves them looking wrinkled and puffy.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, rejuvenates the appearance of your upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. This plastic surgery can:
- Tighten the baggy skin under your eye
- Fix the sagging skin on your upper eyelid (the medical condition called Dermatochalasis)
- Correct drooping eyelashes that impair vision

Is It For Me?
The ideal candidates for eyelid surgery are those who are physically healthy and emotionally stable. Doctors recommend that patients be at least 35 years old for this type of surgery.
